1965 Triumph T120R Bonneville 650cc (T120R DU24406). The title is free and clear in my name and the frame, engine, and title numbers all match. I bought this bike several years back and the person I purchased it from owned it since the mid 70s. The bike turns over and has compression, but I have never tried to start it. The engine cases appear to be in good shape and it appears the main drive chain never snapped as there is no visible signs of case damage. The only thing I could find from looking at the outside of the cases was one of the bottom screw bosses which attaches the primary drive cover to the engine case broke off (see picture). It looks like someone put too long of a screw in it, but this can be easily repaired. The original side stand lug is broken off which is pretty common so the bike has a clamp on style side stand. Reproduction side stand lugs are available from Baxter Cycle. From what I was told this bike was last on the road in 1981 and it had a Joe Hunt Magneto on it. The down tube of the frame has some bondo on it where the owner smoothed out the transitions in the frame. This was very commonly done in the 70s. I scraped a small area at the normal Triumph frame step transition just below the frame serial number to confirm. The coil mount plate under the gas tank has been cut off the frame, but this part is being reproduced and can be easily welded in. This bike is sold as is as shown with no warranty expressed or implied. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask. If you are local and would like to check out the bike before bidding please feel free to contact me and we can setup a time. I am only selling to try and thin down the herd a bit. The mileage is listed as zero as this bike does not currently have an odometer on it. Actual mileage is unknown on this bike.
