Unrestored and nicely maintained. Never left outside, and lives in a heated environment in the years have owned this fine machine. Gets thumbs up every time I ride it because it is just gorgeous. Updates are as follows: Electronic ignition, alloy rims [perfect], belt drive primary, twin mikuni carbs and manifolds with balance tube.
Zero oil leaks, 150psi compression on both cylinders at 7300ft altitude, and never a trace of smoke. Engine is as nice as one will ever be, and runs awesome. I maintained the original choke lever on the handlebar with 2 cables as original, so the Mikuni’s choke plungers work in the same way the Amals did. It appealed to me to keep the fuel in the carbs as opposed to all over the engine Amal style, and while it was a lot of work and a load of money, it was worth it in my opinion. The tank and side covers have been stripped and painted in basecoat/clearcoat and restriped many years ago and still look perfect. The seat is original to the bike as far as I know and is free of defects. The bike needs nothing and is ready for a new owner. I am getting too old to ride much, and it is time for me to reluctantly let it go. Ask any questions and more pics etc, just ask.
Shipping will be up to the buyer, but I can trailer it to a shipping dock or shipper if I need to.
One of the pictures shows the engine idling nicely at about 800 rpm. I have extra parts and lots of jets to tune to your altitude.
I will include the extra parts, factory manuals and paperwork with the sale.
