Triumph Thruxton R 1200 – amazing machine in factory-like pristine condition
I have ridden this bike for several years now (first and only owner), and sadly selling it since I’m moving to snowy Utah. I was considering riding it in the snow but my wife wants me to stay alive, so I guess I have to let it go 🙂
The bike embodies the perfect aspects of a classic British motorcycle – it rides smoothly and cruises at just 2500 rpm, but has enough punch ready at the throttle to rip your face off if you’re into that sort of thing. Equipped with ABS and Traction Control, several digitally controlled throttle settings (rain, sport, regular), upgraded heated grips for chilly riding in the mountains, a Scotts oiler (forget about chain lubrication schedules, the automatic oiler constantly applies the perfect amount to the chain to keep your ride as smooth as the wind). Brand new tires (less than 300 miles on them).
The paint is impeccable, and the tank has styled rubbed kneepads for additional protection. Meticulously maintained at Munroe Motors in San Francisco, regular oil changes at the dealer and some additional ones at home.
