Bike runs and rides great, CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE.
Selling my 1954 AJS Desert Racer. This bike is in as-raced original condition. Was raced in the deserts of California in the 1960’s.
I acquired this bike, replaced the tires, adjusted the magneto, replaced the fluids, and got it running and riding for the first time in decades.
It is now ready to run wherever you wish, could be returned to original condition or raced again as-is.
When I bought the bike it had the original AVON tires and tubes that were on it when it was raced in the California Desert. I can include the with the sale if you wish. The bike does have a headlamp but it was put on to ride around the block only.
The bike leaks oil, as most British bikes do. It is a one kick starter with the timing retarded and no-choke. Idles nicely, shifts though all 4 gear with no issues (one up, three down).
Bike is currently drained of fuel and oil (I winterized it for the season).
