My dad is selling his 1958 BSA B33, he has had it for about 13 years and put about 10,000 miles on it in that time. During that time he has rebuilt the engine, transmission, brakes and wheel bearings and any other odds and ends that needed repaired along the way. This bike is the first year they used an alternator, so this bike does not have the charging issues that the earlier ones had. He has been a mechanic for 50 years so he didn’t just put some parts in, everything was repaired or rebuilt correctly. Also it does not leak large puddles of oil, it will leave a small spot every once in awhile, but it is very small. The single seat was just recovered and has no miles on it. It also comes with a dual seat and the enclosed chain guard, both in good condition. The speedometer does not show the correct mileage, when he got it the one it had didn’t really fit the bike well so he bought a more period correct one for it, the gauge does work fine but the trip meter knob is missing. The rear fender and supports were both rechromed a few years ago, but other than that all the paint and chrome is as it was when he got it, it’s not perfect but it’s good condition for it’s age. The tank does have a small ding on the left side above the BSA badge, but it’s pretty hard to see. One of the pictures shows a fork lock key near the speedo and it does work. He did say that the forks could use a rebuild at some point, and also the rear tire will need replaced sometime soon. The bike was ridden fairly regularly until the last day of May when the tags expired, we did start it a couple days ago which was the first time since May, and it started on the second kick. This bike works and runs well and can just be ridden as it is, no tinkering required.
